Technology changes the world. Yet, how the world is changed is not determined by a technological invention itself, but the way we utilize the technology. Moreover, technology cannot evolve without a mechanism that provides enough economic incentives. My goal is to bridge the low-carbon energy technology, its incentives, and the social welfare. I study decision-making schemes, data analytic methods, market mechanisms, and public policies that produce more benefits for the society by better exploiting emerging technologies, to incentivize technological development and deployment and to fight against climate change.

My prior research lies in the optimization and control of energy systems, with particular interests in energy storage, renewable energy, and hydrogen.
